Flip Album Cut Files

Hello!
A new type of mini scrapbook albums. I've posted many Cricut .cut files on my blog. They include Edgy Scrapbook Albums, Layout Sketch cut files, Wordbook Album cut files, Shaped Papers and now I'm making Flip, Mini scrapbook, album cut files. I'm always trying something new.

FOR AN IDEA ON HOW TO DISPLAY ONE......CLICK HERE

The only difference is that the binder holes are on the top and not the sides. You can download them as I add them to this page.  I have some info below that pertains to all the cut files and some info is specific. That info will be listed under each individual flip album.

I've been asked if the Gypsy can be used with these types of files and the answer is no. The Design Studio cut files have an extension of ".cut" and the gypsy files do not. So basically you would have to own the Design Studio AND sometimes the jukebox. The Jukebox allows you  to use more than 1 cart at a time. If I weld 2 items that came from 1 cart you don't need it. If I weld 2 items that come from different carts you would need it.

INFO THAT APPLIES TO ALL:
SUPPLIES:
If you want your pages stiffer than the average cardstock you can use standard poster board. That way if it's on display and people look through it the pages won't bend. After all, It's not a layout you would be putting in a 12 x 12 album. If you choose to use it the settings are below.

POSTER BOARD CRICUT SETTINGS:
-Use the regular needle
-Set the needle depth to cut at level 6
-Maximum Pressure
-Cut 2 times. As soon as it’s done cutting the first time, cut again. DON’T move that mat in between cuts or it will not cut in the same place.

The last page of each cut file will have a blank page. That is what I call the Preview Page. If you changed one of the borders you can use that blank page to see if it's welded and everything is ok and ready to go. Go to the page, and click on the eye you see on the left side of your screen in the Design Studio.

To do the backside of the flip album just place your scrapbook paper face down on your Cricut Machine and cut it that way.

It measures 10 inches wide. The first page is 7.5 inches high and the last is 10.25 inches high.

I used the Fabulous Finds for the page. You can use any cartridge that has a square or rectangle. Just remember to weld it. To weld a die cut in the Design Studio click on it, then take your mouse over to "welding" and click on it. It's on the right, top side of the screen. Then you need to click in "APPLY". Then your done.

CARTRIDGES NEEDED FOR THE BORDERS:
You don't have to memorize this list because it's on each individual page within the cut file.
Page 1: Plantin Schoolbook. (Accent Essentials has a scalloped border if you need to use that instead.)
Page 2 & 3: Home Accents
Page 4: Storybook

Is the Jukebox Needed: Yes

USES:
This type of flip album can be used as a display piece on a coffee table. You could prop it up like a photo frame or lay it flat like a coffee table book. There are 7 pages if you include the back sides so it could be used in so many ways.
